Cannabis Friendly Coffee Shop Rush

So they are officially here. The cannabis friendly clubs or coffee-shops.

To a lot of media fanfare, and not exempt from controversy, some entrepreneurs are starting to test the legal and business environment that would allow them to offer hosting services to cannabis consumer gatherings and reunions.

Colorado's The Front Tea and Art Shop and Club 64 and the White Horse Inn competed for consumers and media attention this week, as they opened for business with a similar premise of providing an environment for a private social gathering of cannabis consumers.

However, as it could be expected, they face legal limitations (e.g. no cannabis sales) and the fact that their cannabis venture is built upon what seems to be a very particular interpretation of what constitutes 'public' and 'private' consumption, hence, they would have to resist legal examination in order to become viable cannabis businesses.

Adding to this, you have the usual social opposition against cannabis and to this type of establishments. For example, there have been already reports that the White Horse has been politely requested by its landowner to move to different pastures.
